Welcome to The Polo

Four decades of real Chicago hospitality, one address.

Since 1985, chef/owner/innkeeper Dave Samber and his Polo staff have made the corner of 33rd & Morgan a destination — first as a candy shop, then a café, and today a beloved Bridgeport landmark wrapped inside a 1914 brownstone and the old Eagle Theater next door.

One mile west of Sox park, The Polo Inn brings together a scratch kitchen, a three-suite bed & breakfast, an elegant banquet hall, a Sunday Gospel Brunch with live organ, and a monthly Showtime jazz series — the kind of place that has touched thousands of lives and made a few hundred thousand memories.

Dine-In · Carry-Out · Curbside

A scratch kitchen with a stockyard pedigree.

Certified Angus Beef steaks and burgers, fresh seafood, pastas, soups and salads — plus the desserts that built our name: crème brûlée, flourless chocolate espresso torte, and gelato. We served two million crab-cake nuggets at the Taste of Chicago; we still cook every plate to order.
